Liberty Floor Solutions was commissioned to install a high-performance epoxy resin floor at a BYD automotive workshop and MOT service centre in Stourbridge, West Midlands. The project forms part of our ongoing relationship with BYD, Liberty having successfully delivered resin flooring installations at multiple BYD sites across the UK, including Kettering and Kidderminster. The busy workshop required a durable, seamless and easy-to-maintain floor capable of dealing with regular vehicle movements, heavy loads, oils, chemicals and everyday workshop activity.

The installation began with thorough mechanical preparation of the existing concrete using industrial diamond grinding equipment. This removed surface contaminants and created the correct profile for the new resin system, while any cracks, joints and other defects were repaired using specialist epoxy repair compounds. Once the substrate was ready, we applied several coats of high-build epoxy resin to create a hard-wearing, seamless and easy-to-clean finish. We also completed epoxy line marking around the MOT service bays, providing clearly defined areas for vehicle positioning and workshop operations. The complete installation was carried out in approximately 3-4 days.

The finished floor provides a clean, professional appearance while giving the workshop a practical surface designed for heavy everyday use and regular cleaning. Clearly defined service areas also help with workshop organisation and vehicle positioning.
