Overview
Liberty Floor Solutions was engaged to deliver a high-quality epoxy resin flooring system at a BYD automotive workshop in Kettering.
This project is part of a continuing relationship between Liberty and BYD, with previous installations completed at other UK sites including Stourbridge and Kidderminster.
The Requirement
The workshop required a durable, seamless flooring solution suitable for the day-to-day demands of an automotive service environment. Key requirements included:

Scope of Works
1. Surface Preparation
To ensure a long-lasting installation, the concrete substrate was mechanically prepared using professional diamond grinding equipment.
This removed surface contaminants and created an ideal profile for the resin system to bond effectively.
2. Floor Repairs
Cracks, joints, and surface imperfections were repaired using specialist epoxy fillers and repair mortars. This provided a smooth,
even base and eliminated potential weak points in the floor.
3. Epoxy Resin Application
A heavy-duty epoxy resin coating was applied throughout the workshop, creating a seamless, hard-wearing surface with excellent
resistance to chemicals, abrasion, and impact—perfect for automotive use.
4. Line Marking
Durable epoxy line markings were installed around the MOT bays, clearly defining work zones and supporting safe, efficient
operations within the workshop.
