We were appointed to install a new epoxy resin floor at a BYD automotive workshop and MOT service centre in Kidderminster, West Midlands. This project marks the third successful collaboration between Liberty and BYD, following previous installations at their Stourbridge
and Kettering branches, reinforcing a strong and ongoing working relationship.. The existing concrete floor was first mechanically prepared using industrial diamond grinding equipment to remove surface contaminants and create a clean, profiled substrate. Any damaged areas and imperfections were repaired with specialist epoxy fillers, providing a sound and stable base ready for the new resin system.

Once the preparation and repairs were complete, we applied several coats of heavy-duty epoxy resin across the workshop floor to create a seamless, hard-wearing and easy-to-maintain finish. The completed EV workshop flooring is designed to cope with regular vehicle movements, workshop equipment, impact, abrasion and day-to-day cleaning. We also installed epoxy line marking around the MOT and service bays, creating clearly defined working areas for vehicle positioning and technician workflow. The complete project was carried out in approximately 1–2 days.
