A safer, hard-wearing surface around the swimming pool

We were invited to inspect the poolside area at California Sands Oasis Pool in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, after the client had spoken to several other companies about the project. Following discussions about the requirements, they chose Liberty Floor Solutions to carry out the work across more than 500㎡. The existing area was transformed with a light blue and dark blue mix wet pour rubber surface, creating an attractive, durable finish that is particularly well suited to areas where safety, comfort and impact absorption are important.

Our experienced rubber crumb installers prepared the area before applying the system in two layers, using different grades of rubber granules bonded together with a specialist resin binder. Each layer was carefully installed and finished to produce a continuous, resilient surface around the pool. The project took approximately 1–2 days to complete, subject to site conditions and preparation requirements. The finished rubber crumb flooring provides excellent impact absorption and a practical surface for a busy swimming pool environment, while a large range of colours allows bespoke colour combinations and designs to be created. Wet pour surfacing

Wet pour rubber, sometimes known as soft tarmac, is made from rubber granules bonded with resin to create a flexible, impact-absorbing surface. Although commonly associated with playgrounds, this versatile system can also be used around swimming pools, recreational areas, schools and other outdoor environments where safety and durability are important. The material is available in a large range of colours and can be combined to create custom patterns or designs to complement existing branding and colour schemes.
