As with any coating or line-marking installation, preparation was an important part of the process. The existing surfaces were checked and prepared to provide a clean, sound substrate, removing contaminants and weak surface material where necessary. The line positions were then measured and marked out before application of LFS Line Marker, a self-priming, two-component coloured epoxy resin system designed for durable, high-visibility markings. Available in white, yellow, black and safety red, it can be applied at approximately 200–400 microns for a hard-wearing finish. As an experienced resin flooring contractor, we use specialist preparation equipment and application methods to achieve a clean, professional result.
The work at both locations was completed efficiently, with the installation programme depending on the condition of the existing surface, the amount of preparation required and the layout of the markings. Smaller line-marking projects such as these can often be completed within a day, allowing the areas to be returned to use as quickly as practical. The same approach can be applied to commercial flooring, warehouse flooring and other busy areas where clear demarcation is important.
