We recently transformed a garage as part of a gym conversion project in Cambridgeshire, installing a hard-wearing epoxy flake floor designed to create a clean, practical and attractive space. The project began with thorough preparation of the existing concrete floor. The surface was mechanically prepared to remove contaminants and provide a suitable key for the new coating, with any imperfections or areas requiring attention dealt with before the resin system was applied. Once the floor was ready, we applied several coats of epoxy resin, incorporating decorative flakes to create the finished epoxy flake floor. The result is a seamless, durable and easy-to-clean garage floor that works particularly well for a converted gym space. The installation was completed in approximately 1–2 days, depending on the preparation and curing times required between coats.
