Epoxy resin flooring – auto workshop, Spalding – 120㎡

We completed 120㎡ of epoxy resin flooring at an auto workshop in Spalding, Lincolnshire, after the previous floor coating had failed. The original contractor had applied an off-the-shelf, single-pack PU floor paint without carrying out the necessary substrate preparation. As the existing coating was no longer providing the durable finish required for a busy workshop, we removed the old coating and prepared the concrete floor ready for a new resin floor coating.

Once the floor had been fully prepared, we re-cut the expansion joints before applying two coats of high-build epoxy resin to provide a hard-wearing and easy-to-clean workshop floor. The expansion joints were then refilled, followed by the required epoxy line marking to help clearly define working areas. The complete project was carried out in approximately 1–2 days, with the finished floor providing a practical surface suited to a busy auto workshop.
