Epoxy resin coating at a warehouse in Bicester – 700㎡

700㎡ epoxy resin coating providing a durable, attractive finish to protect a warehouse floor while creating the ideal setting for a private car collection.

Liberty Floor Solutions recently installed a 700㎡ epoxy resin coating at a warehouse in Bicester, Oxfordshire, which is destined to house a private collection of cars. The project started with thorough floor preparation, using industrial diamond grinding equipment to remove existing coatings, contaminants, weak surface material and imperfections. Any cracks and defects in the concrete were carefully repaired to create a sound, consistent substrate ready for the new resin system.

Once the concrete had been prepared, expansion joints were cut into the surface to accommodate thermal movement and help reduce the risk of future cracking. We used a flexible epoxy jointing system as part of the preparation before applying three coats of high-build grey epoxy resin. The first coat acted as the primer, promoting strong adhesion to the prepared concrete, while the following coats built up a tough, seamless and visually impressive finish. The installation was completed in carefully planned stages over approximately 2–3 days, allowing sufficient time for preparation, repairs, application and curing.

Professional preparation – the foundation of every installation

Effective substrate preparation is fundamental to every resin installation we undertake. Concrete floors are rarely ready to coat, so mechanical preparation is normally required to remove laitance, contaminants, previous coatings and weak surface material. Without thorough preparation, even a high-quality epoxy system cannot bond correctly to the substrate.

For this project, specialist diamond grinding equipment was used across the 700㎡ area before cracks were repaired and the expansion joints were introduced. We have invested heavily in professional flooring machinery to ensure our installations meet commercial standards, including 3-phase industrial diamond grinders, heavy-duty generators, professional sanding equipment, specialist diamond attachments, industrial dust extraction systems and full PPE.

Our epoxy flooring installation process is tailored to the condition and intended use of each floor. Careful preparation followed by the correct primer and coating system helps produce a durable finish capable of dealing with the demands of a warehouse environment while also providing the clean appearance required for a private vehicle collection.

Epoxy resin flooring for warehouses and automotive environments

A warehouse being used to store and display valuable vehicles needs more than a basic concrete surface. The finished resin system provides a seamless, practical surface that is straightforward to clean and maintain, while the grey high-build epoxy gives the space a smart appearance. We install warehouse flooring for a range of commercial and industrial applications, including spaces used for storage, vehicle collections, workshops and other specialist purposes.

As an experienced resin flooring contractor, we also undertake industrial flooring projects in factories, warehouses and workshops. Our systems can be specified around the requirements of the building and the activities taking place within it, from hard-wearing industrial floors to smart commercial finishes.

We regularly work as a warehouse flooring contractor, providing professional preparation and warehouse flooring installation for existing concrete floors. From diamond grinding and repairs through to the application of high-build epoxy coatings, our team can manage the complete installation process.
