About this project
We completed a 450㎡ warehouse flooring installation at a new refrigerator hire warehouse in Bolnhurst, Bedfordshire. The existing concrete was prepared ready for a durable high-build epoxy resin system, providing a hard-wearing surface suited to a busy commercial environment.
As experienced resin flooring contractors in the UK, we began by mechanically grinding the concrete substrate using specialist diamond grinding equipment. The expansion gaps were then re-cut, taped and filled with a high-performance PU sealer before the surface was thoroughly cleaned ready for coating.

Preparation and installation
Concrete floors are rarely ready to coat, so effective and thorough substrate preparation is a key part of our process. Mechanical preparation removes laitance, contaminants, previous coatings and weak surface material, creating the sound, suitably keyed surface needed for good adhesion and long-term performance. Once preparation and joint sealing were complete, the floor was primed before the epoxy primer and high-build epoxy resin coating were applied. Our specialist equipment includes 3 phase industrial diamond grinders, heavy duty generators, professional sanding equipment, specialist diamond attachments and industrial dust extraction systems, allowing us to carry out commercial installations efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
