We recently completed a 100㎡ epoxy resin coating project in Northampton, transforming an existing concrete surface into a hard-wearing, easy-to-maintain finish. The project began with a detailed assessment of the existing substrate before carrying out thorough mechanical floor preparation. The concrete was prepared using specialist diamond grinding equipment to remove weak surface material, contamination and other imperfections, creating a clean and suitably keyed surface ready for the resin system.

Once the substrate had been prepared and any necessary localised repairs completed, the epoxy system was applied in carefully controlled stages. The installation process, including preparation, primer and coating application, was completed over approximately 1–2 days, allowing sufficient time for each stage to be carried out correctly. The finished surface provides a practical and durable solution for a commercial or industrial environment and demonstrates the importance of combining effective preparation with a professionally installed resin flooring system.
