Epoxy flake flooring for a domestic garage in Peterborough
We recently installed an LFS epoxy flake floor in a garage in Peterborough, creating a decorative and hard-wearing finish that is ideal for a home garage. The installation started with thorough preparation of the existing concrete floor. The surface was mechanically prepared to remove loose material and contaminants and create the correct mechanical key for the resin system. Once prepared, any areas requiring attention were dealt with before several coats of resin were applied. The decorative flakes were then broadcast into the resin before the floor was completed with a protective sealer coat. The work was completed within approximately 1–2 days, subject to the condition of the existing floor and curing times between coats.
