We recently installed a 220㎡ high-build epoxy resin floor at a motorsport facility in Northampton. The existing floor was thoroughly prepared before the resin system was applied, with mechanical preparation used to remove surface contamination and create a suitable profile for the new coating. Careful preparation is particularly important when installing motorsport facility flooring, helping the resin coating achieve a strong bond with the concrete substrate.

Following preparation, several coats of high-build epoxy resin were applied to create a tough, seamless car workshop flooring system. Motorsport garages can be exposed to oils, fuels, cleaning agents and other workshop chemicals, so a resin floor coating provides a practical, easy-to-clean surface with good resistance to many of the substances encountered in this type of environment. We also incorporated epoxy line marking to clearly define working areas within the facility. The installation was completed in approximately 3–4 days.
