At a new build project in Bedford, Liberty floor solutions provided the screed for an underfloor heating installation. The process begins with laying out the underfloor heating system, where pipes or heating cables are securely fixed to the insulation boards to ensure even heat distribution across the floor.
Once the heating system is in place, traditional screed is applied. This sand and cement mixture is carefully trowelled over the heating pipes, creating a level surface that encases the heating system. The screed is laid to the appropriate thickness to ensure optimal heat transfer while providing a stable, durable base for the final floor finish. After curing, the result is a smooth and even floor surface, ready for flooring installation, with efficient and comfortable underfloor heating integrated seamlessly.
