Fibre Reinforced Screed is traditional sand, cement screed, reinforced with fibres making it far stronger and prevent cracking, whilst reducing permeability, creating a fracture resistant surface.

Curing times

Ideally, a traditional screed surface should be left for a week before any foot traffic thus ensuring the longevity of the floor. By adding reinforcing Polypropylene fibres to the mix it is possible to produce high strength screeds with compression strength in excess of 30 Nmm2

This will also minimise shrinkage & cracking whilst curing, as well as reducing permeability of the surface and thus making it fracture resistant. Additional strength can be gained by laying the screed over with d49 steel reinforcement fabric wrapping mesh.

Liberty Floor Solutions are professional floor screeding contractors based in the Midlands. We are experts in our field with many years of experience, a wealth of knowledge and a dedicated & highly skilled workforce.

Sand, cement and fluid is the go-to solution in the Flooring industry. It is ideal for drainage where a slight fall is needed.
The number one benefit of traditional screed flooring is its cost-effectiveness and turnaround time.  It can be reinforced with either traditional steel or fibre making it far stronger and prevent cracking.  Ideally, a traditional screed surface should be left for a week before any foot traffic thus ensuring the longevity of the floor.
